Twomile conducts a variety of research activities across the software, geospatial, and drone/UAS domains. At a high level, our research activities fall under one of these guiding questions:
- What are the appropriate open-source tools for investigating Problem Area X ?
- How effective is Open Source Tool X at providing accurate, repeatable results?
In 2025, we will building and selling repurposed field-ready drone mapping laptops. These are high-quality, older laptops which have been retired from government and academic use. We configure these laptops with open-source software for GIS and photogrammetry. These systems use 100% open-source software and are designed to work 100% offline.
